Quality Control
Model-Specific Quality Control for Orthopedic Instruments
Quality review begins with a controlled drawing or reference sample, approved instrument pattern, material requirements and acceptance criteria. Published product descriptions do not replace model-level inspection records.
Inspection checkpoints by product
- Bone-Holding Forceps: jaw pattern and alignment, tooth engagement, opening, joint travel, ratchet function and dimensional identification.
- Rongeurs and Bone Cutters: jaw size, cutting-edge geometry, closure, joint function and access for cleaning.
- Osteotomes and Chisels: blade width, thickness, working length, edge geometry, handle design and identification markings.
- Manual Plate Bending Press: approved compatible plate types and sizes, contact surfaces, adjustment range, mechanical function and inspection criteria; use limits must be established by model.
- Orthopedic Sets: approved BOM revision, part numbers, sizes, driver/guide compatibility, tray map, quantity checks and replacement-part references.
Documents to request for each model
Controlled specification or drawing, material declaration or test evidence where available, inspection plan and records, traceability and labeling details, available reprocessing information and market-specific regulatory evidence as applicable. Identify each document as available, pending or not applicable.
No blanket ISO certification, sterilization claim, medical clearance or regulatory registration is asserted without current verifiable, device-specific documentation.
